Loudhailer and Georgio Valentino Double Header Sun Nov 8th 2pm-4pm

Rich & Lou Loudhailer announce a double header afternoon gig with Athens/Berlin based singer and guitarist Georgio Valentino at Wrecking Ball Music and Arts Centre, Hull on Sunday 8th November 2026, 1 pm - 4 pm.

Loudhailer, previously known for their psychedelic rock band Loudhailer Electric Company, are  Rich (guitar) and Lou (vocals/bass),  joined by violinist Dexter Duffy-Howard and percussionist Mark Hurton. The band will play their original songs of myths, murder, sci-fi, love and good times. 

Rich explained: “We have re-worked a set of live favourites plus have new songs in store. The pared down band, with a more acoustic approach, gives the songs room to breathe and they have become slightly darker and more powerful and the result is a more intimate show - perfect for our return to Wrecking Ball, a great venue above a book and record shop.”

Lou continued: "We've enjoyed a number of afternoon gigs recently, it works well, and we look forward to linking up with our music buddy Georgio Valentino for this one. We met Georgio when he came to Hull to play on the bill with us as part of Dave Graney's band. We've kept in touch with his international musical adventures ever since and are delighted to be linking up again."

Georgio Valentino: pseudonymous rock singer, noisemaker, scribbler, acquired taste. The errant Floridian, currently based between Athens and Berlin, is known in some circles for his solo forays in lo-fi noir; in others for his longstanding collaborations with Blaine L. Reininger, Mick Harvey and Amanda Acevedo; and in yet others for his sentence as multi-instrumentalist in Crime & the City Solution. He returns to the UK in the fall to peddle his solo collection, Devenir Imperceptible.

Joining GV (vocal/guitar) on stage are Gavin Fraser (bass) and Ross Wilson (drums). Be there.

Rich & Lou Loudhailer have made music together for over 25 years and have a big history on the Independent music scene. Lou is bassist with visionary Indie chart toppers Red Guitars, world fusion collective Celtarabia, and vocalist / producer for experimental world folk band Agent Starling. Violinist Dexter made his stage debut with bluegrass combo Work in Progress, and recently toured the UK with alt folk band Makk.
